Indulge in the sounds and textures

The guest house is a place of exceptional service and detail, but where you are encouraged to
take off your shoes, feel the ground and indulge yourself in the colours, sounds and textures
of the setting.

It is a place where the business traveller can relax, unwind, and yet has all the facilities to spend time in a "virtual office" if necessary.

The two lounges and decks, stunning views, candle and mood lighting at night, and personalized attention are there to allow you to take away a special memory.

The words of Nazely Farouk, one of our returning guests, probably expresses it best;

"A truly sensual experience of majestic sights, sounds and touches.
Thank you Andrew for providing pleasure to the senses."

The Name Ntengu

The lodge is perched on the edge of a cliff and affords one views of the Palmiet River Valley.
The cliff is called Ntengu and is named after a bird, the Forked Tail Drongo, which can be seen
in abundance in the area. Legend has it that Ntengu is a colloquial word for conversation,
so named because the bird is very talkative.

Ollie has been with Ntengu Lodge for 9 years and Sandy has been with us a little over 2 years. You will see Ollie during the week at breakfast time. She is skilled with the breakfast preparation and presentation and assists me in this. She has attended a course in client services through the THETA. Your support of Ntengu Lodge allows Ollie to care for an extended family of Aids orphans.
