Breakfasts and dinners at Ntengu Lodge are an experience - we take pride in what we prepare for you and the way we present it. The dining area overlooks the pool and valley. Allow us to seat you at your own table, where you can be undisturbed in your own world, and we will serve you. We have had input from the executive chef of the Southern Sun Hotel group. These skills, combined with our passion allow us to create food artforms for you.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Unusual Breakfast Dishes

A cinnamon pancake filled with wild berries and covered in plain yoghurt with a hint of vanilla.
Drizzled with caramelised Verjuice. Cape gooseberries, strawberries, kiwi fruit and
edible flowers complete the picture.

 

 

 

 

 

Egg dishes are also presented in a unique manner.

One of which is described below.

Poached egg on a bed of crisp bacon topped with Scottish Salmon. Garnished with blanched asparagus smothered with a cream and hot mustard sauce.

 

Or

A slice of toast covered in shaved ham and topped with a fried egg. Covered in Emmental cheese and
popped under the griller for a few minutes. A slice of avocado, a strawberry and a sprig of fresh herb.
A very different egg experience.

The fruit juices are fresh with NO preservatives. A fine selection of jams in individual mini bottles
are sugar free and are healthy for diabetics.Choices such as Royal Fig, Marmalade & Ginger,
Wild Cherry, Raspberry.

The coffee aroma is from a House of Coffees brand, Costa Rica, medium roasted filter coffee.

Dinners at Ntengu

Dinners are by prior arrangement and are prepared according to your preferences.
We try to keep them Zesty and healthy.
You will have your own candle lit world. Come bare foot and relaxed if you like!!

An Evening at Ntengu

On arrival, retire to your room for a short nap, or to watch TV or listen to a little music.
Better still take to one of the lounges or a deck, with the complimentary evening newspaper,
where you can "kick back and relax".

If you have work to do “get wireless connected” whilst listening to satellite radio in your own room.

Should you have been out for dinner, on your return you will find fresh towels in your room, your bed turned down and a floral arrangement on the crisp sheet. You could also be spoiled with a Belgian chocolate or a sherry or some other treat. Or you can relax and enjoy a dinner at the lodge, which you would need to have ordered by prior arrangement.

Even if you don't go out to eat, we will attend to your room for you!

Some of our dishes have been inspired and perfected by Robyn, our inspiration,
who now lives in London but is seen at Ntengu Lodge from time to time.

Why not try a Thai green chicken curry, a honey and mayonnaise basted chicken or maybe
a roasted leg of lamb prepared over an open fire.

Bathrooms with a little luxury Each bathroom has a range of Charlotte Rhys products for your indulgence. A full bathroom will have bath salts, foam bath, liquid soap, shower gel and body lotion all in the St Tomas fragrance. Charlotte Rhys is sold only in exclusive décor and design outlets throughout the country. We have selected this product for it's superb quality and presentation. Please use it during your stay with us. We also provide you with a 90grm soap bar, manufactured in the Natal Midlands.

Transport - we are at your service

We are aware that transport can play a major part when you are without your own vehicle.

Allow us to arrange an airport transfer, take you to the shopping centres or on a mini tour around
the city and environs. Give us notice and we will arrange transport for you to and from your office.
